Feb. 23 Program: Bill Virgin - "Tracking The Local Economy"

02/23/2010 - 07:21
02/23/2010 - 08:30

Bill Virgin tracks two fundamental sectors of the Northwest's economy: manufacturing and railroad transportation. He writes two highly-focused business newsletters on these two industries. Why's that important? Because "STUFF" still matters. Big HEAVY stuff. A house can't be built unless plywood and steel and other heavy things are brought into the region. Grain and apples move to ships - and to stores - by rail. Is the local economy going off the rails? Come hear Bill's take on recent trends. Bring your questions. Bill spoke to Rainier Valley Rotary exactly one year ago, as the soon-to-be-departed Business Reporter for the once-great Seattle P.I. Rainier Valley Rotary meets at Kallaloo, 3820 South Ferdinand Street, from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Doors open at 7:00 for networking.
