April 24 Program: William Wurtz "How To Get From Here To Someplace Different"
Our program April 24 will be from William "Bud" Wurtz, who has a PhD in educational psychology from Texas A&M University. There he specialized in creativity - in the only doctoral-level creativity research program in the nation. Bud's understanding of how people create new products, services, solutions, careers, and lifestyles is comprehensive. Since the field of human creativity is so vast, and even the theoretical frameworks (neuro-science, sociology, entrepreneurship) are complicated, Bud's going to give us an exercise, a learning game, to play with. The game will help anyone understand what creativity and innovation are and how these related areas play an increasing important role in our economy, society and lives.. If successful, you can use it over and over to create a new solution for any of life's little (or big) challenges.
Rainier Valley Rotary is celebrating our 50th year. We meet weekly, and have frequent projects, socials, and other ways to get involved. Visitors can attend two of our regular meetings free, then we ask a $10 contribution to cover our meeting expenses. This meeting of our club will be at 2100 24th Avenue South - the "Treehouse" building. Food and beverages are provided.
