July 6 Program: Dr. Elaine Pesskind - "Vets Returning Home With Blast-Shock Brain Trauma"
We are following the excellent program Ruth Moen gave last month on brain-trauma. Dr. Pesskind just published research that's very controversial: Yes, many thousands of our veterans are returning to society carrying lingering effects from the nearby explosions of mortar rounds and improvised explosive devices.
