Feb. 23 Program: Bill Virgin - "Tracking The Local Economy"
Bill Virgin tracks two fundamental sectors of the Northwest's economy: manufacturing and railroad transportation. He writes two highly-focused business newsletters on these two industries. Why's that important? Because "STUFF" still matters. Big HEAVY stuff. A house can't be built unless plywood and steel and other heavy things are brought into the region. Grain and apples move to ships - and to stores - by rail. Is the local economy going off the rails?
